[01] Density-as-shading
A ramp from " " to "@" stands in for brightness. Every image on this site is that ramp, mapped over light and shadow.
[02] Monospace, fixed grid
No kerning, no proportional spacing. The character grid is the image — there is no resolution beyond it.
[03] One signal color
Amber, reserved for links, the scanline, and the CTA. The glyph-art itself stays grayscale, the way real ASCII art always was.
[04] The glyph-cat mark
The hero reference figurine, converted once, reused everywhere — a signature instead of a logo.

Long before this was an aesthetic choice, it was the only option: line printers and dial-up BBS screens could push characters, not pixels. The look stuck around because it still works anywhere a real image can't load.
